Description

These Peach Cobbler Cinnamon Rolls combine tender, enriched dough with a sweet cinnamon-peach filling that bakes into soft, golden spirals. Finished with a silky cream cheese glaze, they deliver the cozy flavor of peach cobbler in a fluffy breakfast roll. Perfect for brunch, holidays, or whenever you want something warm and indulgent fresh from the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the Peach Filling

  • 2 cups diced peaches (fresh, canned, or thawed frozen)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • For the Cream Cheese Glaze
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast
    • Pour the warm milk into a bowl and stir in the yeast along with a small pinch of sugar. Let the mixture stand for about 5 minutes, or until it turns foamy on top. That foam indicates the yeast is active and ready to work.
  2. Prepare the Dough
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Add the foamy yeast mixture and stir to blend. Gradually incorporate the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
    • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for several minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  3. Mix the Filling
    • In a separate bowl, toss the diced peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon until evenly coated. Set aside.
  4. Shape the Rolls
    • Roll the risen dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the peach mixture evenly over the dough, distributing the fruit across the surface.
    • Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving slight space between them. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes, until puffy.
  5. Bake
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for approximately 25 minutes, or until the tops turn golden brown and the centers are fully set.
  6. Make the Glaze
    • While the rolls bake, beat together the cream cheese and softened butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and spreadable.
  7. Finish and Serve
    • Spread or drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the rolls while they are still warm. Serve immediately for the softest texture and richest flavor.

Notes

If your peaches release a lot of juice, mix them with a tablespoon of flour before spreading them onto the dough. This helps thicken the filling during baking and prevents excess liquid from pooling in the pan.
