Description

This no-bake peanut butter marshmallow pie combines a fluffy marshmallow cream filling with a buttery graham cracker base and a smooth peanut butter topping. Light, creamy, and packed with nostalgic flavor, it’s an easy chilled dessert that comes together without ever turning on the oven.

Ingredients

Marshmallow Filling

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Whole milk
  • Heavy whipping cream

Graham Cracker Base

  • Graham cracker crumbs (from crushed sheets)
  • Unsalted butter, melted

Peanut Butter Topping

  • Creamy peanut butter, gently melted for spreading

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marshmallow Mixture
    • Place the mini marshmallows and milk into a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously as they warm, allowing the marshmallows to melt completely and blend smoothly with the milk.
    • Once fully melted and smooth, remove the pan from the heat. Let the mixture cool to room temperature. This step is important—adding it while warm will deflate the whipped cream later.
  2. Whip the Cream
    • Pour the heavy cream into a mixing bowl. Using a hand or stand mixer, begin at a low speed and gradually increase to medium. Continue beating until the cream thickens and forms soft peaks.
    • Take your time increasing the speed; this keeps everything neat and prevents splatter.
  3. Combine the Filling
    • Once the marshmallow mixture has cooled, gently fold it into the whipped cream. Use a spatula and light strokes to maintain as much air as possible.
    • Set the finished filling aside while you assemble the crust.
  4. Make the Crust
    • In a separate bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter. Stir until every crumb is evenly coated—dry patches can lead to a crumbly crust.
    • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a deep 9-inch pie dish. Use the back of a spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup to compact it evenly.
  5. Assemble the Pie
    • Spoon the marshmallow cream filling into the prepared crust and smooth the surface.
    • Transfer the melted peanut butter into a piping bag, or use a plastic bag with the tip snipped off. Drizzle it evenly over the top. If preferred, spread it carefully with a knife into a smooth layer.
  6. Chill Until Set
    • Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm. For best texture and clean slices, chilling overnight works beautifully.
    • Serve cold and store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
