Description
This peanut butter mousse is light, fluffy, and unbelievably creamy, yet it comes together with minimal effort. With just four simple ingredients and a few minutes of mixing, you’ll have a rich, airy dessert that feels indulgent without the sugar overload.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (see tips below)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sweetener or confectioners’ sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Add the peanut butter, softened cream cheese, powdered sweetener, and vanilla (if using) to a large bowl. Beat with a hand or stand mixer until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms firm peaks and holds its shape.
- Scoop about one-quarter of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture and gently mix to loosen it.
- Carefully fold in half of the remaining whipped cream until mostly combined, then fold in the rest until the mousse is light and uniform.
- Spoon or pipe the mousse into serving glasses, jars, or bowls. Serve immediately for a soft texture, or chill for at least 30 minutes for a thicker, more set mousse
Notes
Helpful Tips & Variations
- Smooth almond butter or tahini can be used in place of peanut butter for a different flavor.
- For extra depth, add ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract while mixing the base.
- To keep the recipe sugar-free or keto-friendly, use a powdered low-carb sweetener instead of regular powdered sugar.
- Suggested serving size is about ½ cup per portion.
