Description

Bring some fiery-sweet magic to the table with this Hot Honey Feta Chicken — a dish that tastes like you fussed for hours but comes together in no time. Think tender chicken, a glossy spicy-sweet glaze, and a salty crumble of feta that melts ever so slightly into every bite. Whether you’re cooking for a busy weeknight or impressing guests, this recipe delivers every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • ½ cup crumbled feta
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Use paper towels to dry the chicken well — this helps achieve great browning.
  2. Coat the chicken with olive oil, then sprinkle on the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Warm an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken and sear for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until a rich golden crust forms.
  5. Reduce the heat and pour the hot honey over the chicken.
  6. Spoon the bubbling honey over the pieces for a minute or two to coat them thoroughly.
  7. Move the skillet into a 375°F (190°C) oven.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the thickest part of the chicken hits 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from the oven and immediately scatter the feta and thyme over the top.
  10. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes so everything settles and the flavors blend.

Notes

  • Resting the chicken keeps it juicy and helps the feta melt slightly into the hot honey glaze.
  • An oven-safe skillet makes this a seamless stovetop-to-oven recipe.
  • Want more or less heat? Adjust your hot honey by increasing or reducing the chili component.
