Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons hot honey
- ½ cup crumbled feta
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Use paper towels to dry the chicken well — this helps achieve great browning.
- Coat the chicken with olive oil, then sprinkle on the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Warm an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Add the seasoned chicken and sear for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until a rich golden crust forms.
- Reduce the heat and pour the hot honey over the chicken.
- Spoon the bubbling honey over the pieces for a minute or two to coat them thoroughly.
- Move the skillet into a 375°F (190°C) oven.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the thickest part of the chicken hits 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and immediately scatter the feta and thyme over the top.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes so everything settles and the flavors blend.
Notes
- Resting the chicken keeps it juicy and helps the feta melt slightly into the hot honey glaze.
- An oven-safe skillet makes this a seamless stovetop-to-oven recipe.
- Want more or less heat? Adjust your hot honey by increasing or reducing the chili component.
