Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 pound shredded Brussels sprouts
- Additional salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- Juice from half a lime
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high and add the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks, then mix in the green onions. Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sriracha if you want some heat. When the meat is no longer pink, transfer it to a plate and set aside.
- Cook the Brussels Sprouts: Add the avocado oil to the same pan. Toss in the shredded Brussels sprouts, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and sauté until they soften and pick up a little golden color.
- Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the sweet chili sauce and squeeze in the lime juice. Stir thoroughly so everything gets coated in that glossy sweet-and-spicy sauce.
- Finish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like and enjoy over rice—or try it with noodles, cauliflower rice, or any serving idea you prefer.
