Description

This caramel apple dump cake is pure set-and-forget comfort: layer a few pantry staples in your slow cooker and you’ll end up with a warm, sticky, buttery dessert packed with caramel-apple goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (standard) cans apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (dry)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of a 6-quart (or larger) slow cooker.
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the cooker.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the apples — don’t stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, then spoon or pour the caramel sauce over everything.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for about 2–3 hours, until the top turns golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  6. Serve warm (vanilla ice cream or whipped cream are optional but awesome).
