Ingredients
- 2 ready-made Oreo cookie crusts
- 1 (3.4 oz) box chocolate instant pudding mix
- 1 tablespoon dark cocoa powder
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (3.4 oz) box pistachio instant pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
- 2 (8 oz) containers whipped topping, thawed
- Maraschino cherries and chocolate drizzle or curls (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chocolate Base
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate pudding powder with the cocoa powder. Pour in 2 cups of cold milk and whisk until the mixture thickens, following the package timing.
- Gently fold in half of one container of whipped topping until smooth and airy.
- Split the chocolate mixture evenly between both Oreo crusts and spread it into an even layer across the bottom.
- Add the Cherry Layer
- Transfer the cherry pie filling into a separate bowl. Fold in half of another tub of whipped topping until well blended.
- Divide this mixture evenly and spoon it over the chocolate layer in each crust, smoothing it out carefully.
- Make the Pistachio Layer
- In a clean bowl, whisk together the pistachio pudding mix and the remaining 2 cups of milk until thickened.
- Fold in half of the remaining whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread this pistachio mixture over the cherry layer in both pies, creating the final flavored tier.
- Chill to Set
- Cover both pies and place them in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours. This resting time allows the layers to firm up and makes slicing much easier.
- Finish and Decorate
- Before serving, spread the remaining whipped topping over each pie. Garnish with maraschino cherries and drizzle melted chocolate coating across the top, or add chocolate curls for a polished look.
