Bang Bang Chicken Skewers
Ingredients
For the chicken, you’ll need:
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
And for the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sriracha add more if you like it spicier
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for extra spice
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer or oven to 450°F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the Bang Bang Sauce until smooth. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chicken with soy sauce, olive oil, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, chili powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar. Let it marinate for 30 minutes if you have time.
- Thread the chicken onto skewers, about 6 to 7 pieces per skewer. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes first to prevent burning.
- Air fry the skewers for 13 to 15 minutes at 450°F until they’re fully cooked and nicely charred.
