  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 frozen unsweetened acai packets (broken into pieces)
  • 1 cup frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • Optional: lime juice (honey)
  • Toppings of choice: honey (fresh fruit, granola, coconut flakes, chia seeds, chia pudding, nut butter)

Instructions

  1. In a very sturdy blender, toss in the frozen acai packets, frozen banana, and frozen strawberries. For a tangy flavor, add a tiny squeeze of lime. If you prefer it sweeter, drizzle in some honey.
  2. Blend until everything is super smooth. If your blender isn’t super strong, you might need to add a splash of milk, but keep in mind it’ll make the acai bowl less thick.
  3. Once it’s smooth and chunk-free, transfer it to a bowl.
  4. Pile on your favorite toppings and dive in right away!

Notes

  • Feel free to throw in any other frozen fruit you love into the acai base. Bananas and strawberries make a fantastic combo because bananas add natural sweetness while strawberries bring a bit of tang. You can also mix in frozen blueberries, mangoes, or raspberries.
  • A powerful blender is key to getting that thick texture for your smoothie bowl. If your blender isn’t up to par, you might need to add a bit of milk to help it along, but it’ll make the smoothie less thick.
